Faces of Internet Piracy

Case Studies

The BSA has toured the country, talking to both convicted software pirates and those that are at the forefront of stopping this criminal activity.

Here are the tales of the “Faces of Piracy.” These stories illustrate the unscrupulous behavior of the software pirates, the actions taken by those that prosecute these individuals, and how the victims of software piracy are fighting back.

Through the stories of these individuals, the BSA hopes to inform consumers of the dangers they face when purchasing software online, and empower them to detect and report efforts to illegally distribute software.
